Yu Garden Tea
Deep violet and indigo swirls flecked with silver-white, like a nebula caught mid-turn. Reactive glaze fired at high temperature: the metallic oxides move and crystallise in the kiln, so the pattern is composed by fire rather than by hand. No two are alike. The gaiwan and its saucer are what you receive — the cups shown alongside are sold separately.
In Chinese this is written 星河盖碗·紫 and pronounced xīng hé gài wǎn zǐ.
