A band of amber and ash sweeps across pale celadon and carries on over the saucer, the way Saturn wears its rings and its shadow together. Reactive glaze: the metallic oxides move in the kiln, so where the band falls is decided by fire. Hand-thrown Jingdezhen porcelain, lid trimmed by hand to seat with a gentle click. Comes with saucer.
In Chinese this is written 土星金釉盖碗 and pronounced tǔ xīng jīn yòu gài wǎn.
