Soft bands of cream and wheat run around the bowl the way Jupiter’s belts run around Jupiter, laid down not by a brush but by the glaze settling as it cools. The saucer turns the other way — burnished amber, with one pale field of snow-flecks. Hand-thrown Jingdezhen porcelain, lid trimmed by hand. Comes with saucer.
In Chinese this is written 木星米釉盖碗 and pronounced mù xīng mǐ yòu gài wǎn.
