Long, tightly rolled leaves with the curve that gives the tea its name — "precious eyebrows". The cup is brighter and more acidic than most Chinese greens: lemon and green plum up front, a dusty-sweet note underneath, and a dry, clean finish that resets the palate between mouthfuls. An everyday pan-fired green that has been a staple of the export trade for generations, and one of the few greens that tastes right slightly over-steeped.
In Chinese this is written 珍眉 and pronounced zhēn méi.
